We know, we know, we’ve told you a million times how great Pinterest is for content creators. But it’s true! Your time is so precious as a creator. It’s totally understandable if you keep pushing “figure out wtf the deal is with Pinterest” off your to-do list.
The mark of a great content creator is when they make it seem effortless. Like they just rolled out of bed and started filming and BOOM here are 6 amazing videos ready to go.
The reality is… well… the opposite of that.
Content Creation is Hard Work
Effortless content takes an enormous amount of time to create! Even if you’re a lifestyle influencer that vlogs your day, the act of posting, using hashtags, and even figuring out what to say takes So. Much. Effort.
We’ve all seen those TikToks of marketing agencies complaining about how much money they “have” to pay influencers to provide the content that sells their product. Boo. People really just do not get how much work goes into content creation!
(We’re on your side, btw – content creators bring a lot of value and deserve to be paid fairly for it!)
Despite all the misunderstanding though, you love it. You do it because you love it! The effort of content creation is worth it to build your incredible community, share things you care about, and make money doing something you enjoy.
But also, for many people, managing one platform, let alone two or three is a ton of work! More than most people realize. So why would you want to add Pinterest to the list?
Is Pinterest Worth the Effort?
If this sounds like you, then you’re definitely going to want to listen to this episode of the Soulcial Scoop podcast! We sat down with Kristen of Your Socialmate to talk about all things growing and monetizing Pinterest as a creator.
Soulcial Scoop is one of our top recommended podcasts for creators (we even featured it in this Idea Pin) and it’s easy to see why.
Besides the fact that she is 100% the most on top of it with platform changes for Instagram, Tiktok, and Pinterest, every week her guests share the most helpful and inspiring info that will help you own your influence as a content creator.
On the podcast, we talk about:
- When you should be posting on Pinterest
- Why Pinterest has so many other platforms beat
- What’s the deal with keywords (and how to find them)
- Which analytics brands actually care about
- Repurposing content from other platforms
- How many Idea Pins you should be creating a week
- And so much more!
