The following information is out of date and no longer applicable because the Pinterest Creator Rewards has ended and will not be coming back.

It’s been a few months since we posted about the Pinterest Creator Rewards Program. A few things have changed since then. One thing that hasn’t changed? Creator Rewards is the still most financially lucrative creator program of all social media platforms. Pinterest has made it both easy and fun to create incredible content for an audience. Getting paid to do it is an awesome perk.

That is part of what makes today’s update so exciting!

Updated Requirements

Pinterest has changed the initial requirements for gaining entry into the Creator Rewards Program, making it accessible to even more creators. Can I get a *hell yeah*?

Here are the official requirements for gaining entry to the program. Changes are italicized.

  • Have a Pinterest business account in good standing
  • Use the Pinterest mobile app
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a legal resident of, and located in, the United States or DC
  • Have a valid email address associated with your account
  • Agree to the Creator Code
  • Create original content
  • Have published at least 3 Idea Pins in the last 30 days
  • Have at least 250 valid Pinterest followers
  • Have 150 saves of your published Pins in the last 30 days

Changes to the Program

Pinterest reduced the number of followers required to gain entry to the program. This means that even more content creators making Pins that people are liking/saving/sharing/engaging with, but don’t yet have a huge follower count, can now be considered for the program.

Pinterest also added the engagement requirement for 150 saves in the last 30 days. This makes sure that only creators who are actively creating content that people are actually interested in viewing get access to monetize. That ensures the program is better for creators and Pinners, too.

We personally think these are great changes that will benefit serious creators like you, even those who are just getting started with Pinterest creation. As long as you’re making great content, you’ll get access even faster than before!
